Trying to find the memory foam mattress that’s perfect for you can be a long, tough journey. You may even feel like you need a nap at the end of it!

Today I want to talk about the 10-inch LUCID memory foam mattress by LinenSpa. The first thing on everyone’s mind is the price. Although this mattress has many of the same features you see in the top brands, you will pay in the hundreds of dollars rather than in the thousands.
Now that we’ve cleared up that piece of information, let’s talk about the mattress itself.
Comfort and Feel
If you’re looking into memory foam, comfort and feel are probably pretty high on your priority list. This 10-inch mattress contains two different layers: a 2 ½ inch layer of comfort memory foam on top, and a 7 ½ inch layer of high density foam underneath.
This is not the best mattress for aches and pains caused by medical conditions. If you are in this position, it’s probably best to get a doctor’s advice first before buying a new bed.
However, if you suffer from mild back pain and other minor aches, this mattress can help with spinal alignment and posture, relieving some of the discomfort.
The manufacturer describes the feel of this mattress as medium to firm, but not everyone will experience this the same way.
If your weight is average, you should have no problem. But if you weigh more than average, it may feel too firm for you. More heavily built people may also find that indentations develop in the mattress.
But if you’re heavier and still want to learn about this brand, I’d suggest that you, look at my review of the LUCID 12-inch by LinenSpa elsewhere on this website. This might be a better choice for you, especially if you like your mattress a bit softer. It’s also less likely to develop the indentations that sometimes happen with a heavier person.
The open cell memory foam in the 10-inch mattress will prevent the transfer of motion between two sleepers in the same bed. It may even help “active” sleepers to toss and turn less as time goes on.
Easy and Safe Unpacking
Many people are nervous about buying memory foam because they have heard about the odor these mattresses can have when they are new. This one however has been Certi-PUR US approved. Guaranteeing that the materials have been tested rigorously, they are safe for the ozone layer, and they will not cause you any illnesses or harm the environment.
The mattress will be delivered to you rolled up and vacuum-packed in a box. For some reason, when you open and unroll the mattress, it will be upside-down with the bottom layer on the top. Just flip it right side up before you use it. Most people can open and set up the mattress in five minutes.
Some people but not all notice an unpleasant smell when the mattress is expanding. If this bothers you, open a window and don’t sleep on it until it has finished expanding.

The mattress is available in almost any size you can imagine, including King, Queen, Olympic Queen, Full XL, Full and Twin. Short Queen, Twin XL, and California King are also available, so you should have no trouble getting the size you need.
There is a 25-year warranty, with some limitations. But in general, this mattress conforms quickly to your body’s contours, can help relieve minor body pain, and last but not least, the price is right.
