Best Air Mattress for Camping – Aero Sport All-Terrain Bed Review (Queen)

The Aero Sport All-Terrain Queen Bed

You may be wondering what on earth you can use your airbed for besides the obvious. The many uses I’m referring to are the different places and situations that this bed is suitable for. You can take it with you when you go camping, or use it at home when you have overnight guests, or else you can bring it along when you go to stay with friends and family (and you’re tired of their uncomfortable sofa bed!)

Aero Sport All-Terrain Bed (Queen Size)

Any place that you would use a queen bed is a good place to use this airbed. It offers very good value for the price, because of its portability and for other reasons too.

Here are some of its features:

Support and Comfort

As a queen size, this bed is a comfortable choice for two people to sleep on. The internal structure of the mattress contains a system of coils that support your body during sleep, and there is even a pillow built in so that you don’t need to bring one along. Pillows are bulky items to pack on a camping trip!

The mattress is made of thicker material than others in its price range. It also has wide seams that make the bed more comfortable. The reason it’s called “all-terrain” is because the manufacturer says that it can be used on rocky or uneven ground so that you can get a comfortable night’s sleep no matter where you camp. To be fair, this feature has received mixed reviews, so take it with a grain of salt.

Set-Up and Storage

Apart from comfort, the biggest question most people have when buying an airbed is “How fast is it to set up and inflate?” Nobody enjoys wearing out their leg muscles using a manual pump to fill a queen-size mattress with air. That energy can be put to better use on the hiking trails. Because of this, the airbed comes with a dual power hands-free pump. Usually it only takes about a minute to fully inflate the mattress, and it does a good job of holding onto the air inside.

Something I feel that I should mention: The pump is powered by a rechargeable battery, which needs to charge for 12 hours between uses. Trying to use it with a battery that isn’t completely charged can cause the pump to malfunction. If you’re stuck however, you can also plug the pump into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter and that will work.

To deflate and pack up your air bed, you can again use the pump and it only takes about a minute. There is a specific valve for letting out the air. Next, just roll up the bed and store it in the convenient carry bag that comes with the product until the next time you need it.

Overall

This is a bed that’s good for any occasion, and it has the added advantage of being reasonably priced. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a versatile option. If you take the time to look at Amazon, you can usually get a good deal and avoid having to pay full price, so be sure to give it a try.

Note: I have no idea why this is so, but this is a product that is often unavailable. There’s even a possibility that it’s been discontinued. If you’re looking for something similar, why not check out the ALPS Mountaineering Rechargeable Air Bed. In the near future I’ll be adding a review of this bed to my site too.
